Radiology Technologist PRN

Responsibilities
You possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
You will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
You will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
Qualification
Required
Associate degree
ARRT certification
Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure
Current American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs
Preferred
Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred
