Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Radiology Operations Supervisor, performs those duties directly involved with a variety of Special Procedure and Surgical imaging procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology
Oversees the Technologist’s activities in special procedures and surgical imaging
Is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Makes recommendations on policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory bodies
Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film, develops and organizes films
Operates equipment safely and maintains ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures within the scope of the A.R. R. T
Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff
Qualification
Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Other-Fingerprint Required
State Registered Radiologic Technician
Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
