The Special Procedures Tech will perform technical procedures involving ionizing radiation to assist in detecting patient pathology and support the Radiologist in image interpretation.

Responsibilities
Works under the direction of the Imaging Director
Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures that may apply ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology in patients
Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film and or digital receptors
Completes the appropriate paperwork and computer applications
Organizes and prepare the images for interpretation by the Radiologist
Operates equipment safely and maintains ALARA
Qualification
Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(ARRT-R) Radiography
(RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
Associate Degree
