Manage borrowing and depository relationships with commercial clients, focusing on C&I Lending
Solicit new commercial clients through direct sales calls
Develop community and business relationships to facilitate sales referrals to sales partners
Support the Bank’s CRA lending initiatives
Originate and manage lending and deposit relationships with middle market and larger commercial customers
Maintain and effectively manage an individual commercial portfolio in all respects
Analyze financial statements and customer profiles to support the needs of existing and potential customers
Work with other bank departments, such as CRM and BBS to effectively manage the credit process
Provide training, oversight and mentoring and daily direction of administrative assistants
Work on multiple complex projects simultaneously
Participate in community and civic organizations
Cross sell banking services to existing and prospective commercial customers
Assist with the coordination of CRA lending initiatives within the corporate lending department
Support the bank’s sales culture
Originate, develop and maintain relationships with commercial customers for their financial needs through direct and ongoing sales calls and referrals
Provide loan structures to meet customer needs and ensure appropriate documentation exists
Originate new business opportunities through outside business development sales calls
Follow up all internal and external customer referrals
Support all internal business units by providing quality referrals through development of community and business relationships
Responsible for the sales management of assigned accounts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) degree or equivalent from four-year College or university
A minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience to include the management of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) relationships
Willingness to provide a high level of professional service which will clearly differentiate us from our competitors
Must be willing to become familiar with and promote bank products and services
Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude
Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to bank employees, bank customers and prospects
Must be willing to work as part of a team
Must possess a high degree of leadership skills
Possess ability and commitment to develop business relationships with business borrowers
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to originated and manage lending and deposit relationships with middle market as well as larger commercial customers
Ability to maintain and effectively manage an individual commercial portfolio in all respects
Ability to analyze financial statements and customer profiles to support the needs of existing and potential customers
Ability to work with other bank departments, such as CRM and BBS to effectively manage the credit process
Able to provide training, oversight and mentoring and daily direction of administrative assistants in carrying out an effective work environment
Ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously, and successfully
Work closely with the Special Asset Unit in the collection of past due loans and workout of problem credits
Actively participates in community and civic organizations
Cross sells banking services to existing and perspective commercial customers
Assist with the coordination of CRA lending initiatives within the corporate lending department
Supports the bank's sales culture
Originates, develops and maintains relationships with commercial customers for their financial needs through direct and ongoing sales calls and referrals
Provides loan structures to meet customer needs and ensures appropriate documentation exists in order to adequately protect the bank
Adheres to bank policy
Originates new business opportunities through outside business development sales calls to centers of influence and perspective customers
Follows up all internal and external customer referrals
Actively supports all internal business units by providing quality referrals through development of community and business relationships
Responsible for the sales management of assigned accounts
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing
You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner
Travel required for training, meetings and to meet with clients and prospects
