As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of database administration, driving proactive architectural decisions, and collaborating with various teams to optimize and govern data management practices.

Responsibilities
Own the full lifecycle of database administration for mission-critical systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, cloud-native DBs)
Partner with BI, Data Engineering, and Enterprise App teams to support scalable, standardized database usage
Lead performance tuning, index optimization, and capacity planning initiatives
Design and implement backup, HA/DR, monitoring, and security controls
Support database provisioning and automation efforts aligned to IaC and CI/CD strategies
Develop standards, documentation, and operational runbooks to scale institutional knowledge
Help guide long-term data architecture, governance, and compliance best practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on database administration experience across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent platforms
Strong background in performance tuning, capacity planning, and query optimization
Familiarity with infrastructure automation and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with data, BI, and application engineering teams
Demonstrated ability to standardize, document, and scale DB management practices
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence without authority
