RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST - IMMEDIATE CARE (FT DAYS)
Riverside Healthcare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for their Immediate Care facility in Kankakee, Illinois. This role involves performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, assisting with patient care, and providing support in occupational health services while ensuring safety and compliance with protocols.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with precision to ensure high-quality images
Prepare and position patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during imaging procedures
Operate radiographic equipment and perform routine quality control checks to maintain functionality
Correlate patient history with imaging procedures, ensuring all relevant information is documented for Radiologist review
Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring proper identification and anatomical markings
Apply radiation safety protocols to minimize risk to patients, self, and others
Assist with pre-employment physicals, drug screenings, and other occupational health assessments
Perform functions related to billing, including ICD-10 and CPT coding
Conduct ancillary screenings as required by company protocols, including EKGs, drug screens, breath-alcohol tests, and pulmonary function tests
Document and report results accurately to the appropriate company contacts
Assist with injury treatment and processing patients for physical assessments and physician-related visits
Provide education and instructions to patients regarding procedure preparations and occupational health guidelines
Greet patients courteously, assist them to the exam room, and ensure their privacy
Monitor patients during exams, recognizing and reporting any abnormal findings
Perform phlebotomy, vital sign checks, and administer injections as required
Schedule patient appointments and perform accurate computer data entry in Agility and EPIC systems
Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards
Maintain and use principles of aseptic techniques and infection control during all clinical duties
Recognize and address any patient safety issues, working to prevent injury and ensure a safe healthcare environment
Qualification
Required
Associates degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
IEMA Certification Required in Radiography
Graduate of AMA and accredited program in medical imaging and registry eligible
ARRT RT (R) eligible or obtain within 6 months of hire

Phlebotomy skills preferred; experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding is advantageous

Ability to work in an automated environment and demonstrate competency in a variety of diagnostic radiology procedures
