Senior Mechanical Engineer (8-15 Years' Experience)

Responsibilities
Help solve our client’s problems
Design mechanical systems for existing and new buildings as technical lead and project manager for local mechanical projects
Provide project management and coordination of projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule. Maintain effective communication with clients, engineers of other disciplines, contractors, and other project team members
Identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a proactive manner
Build and foster relationships with potential new clients
Provide technical expertise to staff and clients
Help maintain our 95% referral rate and high contract performance ratings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering (HVAC focus), Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
8 to 15 years of experience in design and construction administration of HVAC systems
Experience with field surveys, code analyses, calculations, equipment selections, and specifications
Responsible for planning, creating, influencing, and finalizing designs involving integrated building systems HVAC and plumbing systems
Strong communicator with skillset to supervise junior engineers and CAD operators as they develop contract drawings
Self-starter with a passion for problem solving
Professional Engineer license
Proficient in either AutoCAD or Revit
Proficient Microsoft Office applications
Ability to conduct day-long field surveys outdoors and indoors in conditioned and unconditioned spaces, including walking up to 10-20k steps in a day, climbing up and down a 6-foot ladder, kneeling, squatting, and bending
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Strong desire to motivate, mentor, and manage the work of others supporting your projects, with emphasis on employee growth, project success, and overall performance
Ability to obtain site access at client locations
Ability to travel up to 10 nights in a year, in addition to day-long field surveys
Due to government contract requirements and mandated access restrictions, sole US citizenship is a strict requirement of this role. Dual citizenship is not acceptable
