Responsibilities
Coordinate project delivery strategies and job management plans, working within established QA frameworks to help secure resources, monitor work briefs, and track budgets
Support pricing, estimating, and scoping efforts, and contribute to marketing strategies for new clients and projects
Organize CAD team efforts to manage the preparation and updates of reports, specifications, construction schedules, and environmental impact studies
Coordinate field investigations and client communications, ensuring technical and contractual matters are clearly addressed and meetings are effectively managed
Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards
Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements
Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters
Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems
Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently
Monitor and oversee the delivery of works to ensure that construction, maintenance, or improvement works are delivered in accordance with quality, cost, and time requirements
Create engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions
Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media
Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain it
At least 2 years of experience supporting Water / Wastewater projects, including the development of scope, schedule, and budget, and the subsequent monitoring of cost and schedule
Focus on client service; prior water and wastewater design experience with local municipalities a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed
