Field Sales Representative, Northeast - Roofing Products
OMG Roofing Products is a leading manufacturer of fastening products for the commercial roofing industry. The Field Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales by promoting products to commercial roofing contractors, building customer relationships, and exceeding sales targets.

Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees
Build relationships in the territory with all key customers, assigned accounts and prospects. Develop relationships with job foremen, mechanics and other key roles on targeted projects
Recognize customer emotions and respond appropriately, reading non-verbal cues, using active listening to understand customer needs and adapting tone to suit the circumstances
Identify customer pain points, offer tailored solutions, influence buying decisions, recognize buying signals and use various closing techniques
Achieve, and drive to exceed, assigned sales and promotional goals
Maintain database of customers and sales in assigned territory using Salesforce.com or other software programs as provided
Submit monthly progress reports, reviewing the past month and focusing heavily on targeted sales in the upcoming month
Update the Regional Sales Manager weekly/daily as requested regarding account activities and objectives
Maintain adequate inventory in company vehicle and necessary stock, samples and literature
Maintain and operate company vehicle in compliance with the law and company policy
Communicate clearly with Sales, Marketing and Distribution teams regarding daily logistics and customer needs
Complete scheduled job site visits, including job starts, pull tests, field measurements, and equipment service calls, effectively and safely
Perform other tasks as requested
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior sales experience
Ability to prioritize work assignments, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with a high degree of quality and accuracy
Strong tool dexterity and mechanical ability
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite (Excel)
Valid driver's license and the ability to operate the Company vehicle provided
Safe driving record
Ability to travel extensively within the territory, including overnight travel
Positive attitude, good judgment and excellent time management skills
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
Ability to talk and hear, walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to access roofs up to 60 feet in height using ladders or other similar tools
Must be able to operate a branded company vehicle
Preferred
associate or bachelor's degree preferred
experience with construction products and/or experience working remotely as a field sales resource a plus
