Responsibilities

Maintain regular contact with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Third Party Administrators, employer groups, and internal stakeholders regarding payer-related issues
Assist in payer contract negotiations by analyzing contract terms, reimbursement methodologies, and financial impact to support favorable outcomes
Support the development and implementation of payer contracting strategies aligned with organizational financial and operational goals
Facilitate resolution of operational and reimbursement issues through collaboration with payers and internal departments
Assist with single-case agreements, non-standard reimbursement arrangements, and coordination of payer approvals as needed
Support patient relations activities related to payer inquiries and reimbursement concerns
Assist in ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Legal, Corporate Compliance, and applicable state and federal regulations
Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare claims, reimbursement, and payer performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Develop payer report cards, scorecards, dashboards, and ad hoc reports to support contract negotiations, payer performance monitoring, and leadership decision-making
Measure and report on key performance indicators related to reimbursement rates, utilization, claims processing, and financial performance
Develop basic to intermediate financial models to support payer analysis, reimbursement scenarios, and strategic initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business or other healthcare related field required; an additional 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
3 years' experience in managed care contracting
Previous work experience using cost accounting principles
Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)

Preferred

Master's degree in healthcare, business administration or related field preferred
