Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller will oversee financial operations, manage reporting and compliance, and collaborate with business units on budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of financial operations, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and the development of internal control policies and procedures
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against plan and prepare financial performance reports
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate regulatory reporting and research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance, involving external experts if needed
Collaborate with business units to develop financial plans and projections
Coordinate budget preparation and financial forecasts, and report variances
Manage cash flow, debt financing, and debt service obligations with external agencies
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Qualification
Required
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience in creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process
Excellent administrative skills and proficiency in accounting software
