The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite

Qualification

Surgical Technologist experienceCertified Surgical TechnologistContinuing educationTeam collaborationCommunication skills

Required

Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists
Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT – National Center for Competency Testing, etc.)
Must annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a Surgical Technologist in NJ

Preferred

1 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred
