The Senior Project Engineer assists and supports the Project Manager on assigned projects, coordinating with various stakeholders and managing project subcontractors to ensure project quality and compliance.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with project architects, designers, owners, subcontractors and field personnel
Responsible for generating Request for Information (RFI) and submittals
Manage project subcontractors including coordination, procurement of materials and equipment, monitoring budget and cost, manage billings, etc
Act as the information hub to ensure continuity of work
Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications
Prepare and execute subcontracts and subcontractor change orders, including time extensions. May prepare and execute owner change orders
Provide estimating services
Primary responsibility to monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to Project Manager or Superintendent as appropriate
Inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
Maintain critical project logs (submittal, change order, etc.)
May supervise staff, including establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing positive and constructive feedback, and conducting on-the-job training of project engineers and interns
May be responsible for managing project schedule with the project Superintendent
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a four-year degree program in Engineering or Construction Management
Minimum of 3 years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity
Full knowledge of computer software, i.e. MS Word, Excel, Project
Knowledge of Primavera scheduling software a plus
Experience with Project Controls software (Timberline, Prolog or equal)
Working knowledge Autocad or Revit a plus
Broad knowledge of LEAN and BIM techniques
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Good oral and written communication skills
