The role involves leading complex inspections on various construction projects and providing management support while mentoring other inspectors.

Responsibilities
Provide construction management support, including inspection, testing, and monitoring of construction ensure compliance with contract documents
Fully engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions
Manage and mentor the activities of other inspectors
Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors
Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects
Recordkeeping, materials testing, and reporting as required
Must possess high integrity and ethics in all aspects of dealing with clients, subconsultants, and peers
Qualification
Required
Ten (10) + years of experience in roadway and bridge construction
Ability to understand, explain, and administer contracts; and interpret construction plans, provisions, standards, and specifications
Ability to mentor, coordinate, and supervise inspection personnel in the field
Understanding of QA/QC development and execution process
Travel to job sites is expected, clean driving record
Experience with MS Office, SiteManager, and mobile devices
Preferred
Skilled in both roadway and bridge construction
Survey experience
Required TDOT certifications
