Responsibilities

Administration of AWS cloud technologies
Install, configure and maintain network components such as switches, firewalls and wireless devices
Support and participate in service desk everyday tasks relating to business functions
Ensure the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, virtualized systems, and network equipment
Handle user onboarding and offboarding
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, prioritize problems, and assess impact
Collaborate with IT leadership to plan and implement new infrastructure or upgrades
Responsible for capacity storage planning and network performance
Perform periodic bandwidth testing and optimize network connectivity
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Work with third-party vendors on Cyber Security projects, including penetration tests, server patches, desktop/laptop patches, and network configuration

Required

Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of network administration in the US
Minimum of 1 or 2 years of AWS cloud administration experience in the US
Minimum of 1 or 2 years of experience with firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, remote management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in the US
Minimum of 1 or 2 years of experience providing basic helpdesk troubleshooting and problem solving
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
Experience with scripting and automation tools
Proven track record of implementing IT projects
Knowledge of helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols

Preferred

Penetration testing experience is a plus
System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, Cisco, or other network-related fields are a plus
AWS/Azure System Admin Certifications are a plus
CompTIA+ and/or CCNA certifications are a plus
