Responsibilities

Communicates clinical observations during CT Scan examinations to Radiologist. Presents clinical history as recorded on appropriate documentation to Radiologist

Injects contrast for CT Scans in accordance with department policy. Patient CT questionnaire is completed for each patient and reviewed prior to start of exam

Provides educational information to the patient regarding their examination

Knowledgeable regarding patient condition, history and appropriate background and information pertinent to proposed examination

Accountable for quality of digital images sent to PACS. Verify correct patient is selected from work list, ensures accuracy of Medical Record information prior to being sent to PACS

Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated

Qualification

CT Scan experienceAdvanced CT registryCPR certificationARRT recognized educationComputer usage experience

Required

Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or AART registered

Advanced registry in CT required

One-year staff technologist experience

Advanced CT registry required

Current CPR certification required before completion of orientation

History of computer usage experience required
