Responsibilities
We’re looking for an attorney to litigate a full spectrum of estate and trust matters, primarily in Surrogate’s Court, including will contests, contested accountings, fiduciary misconduct, and turnover proceedings, among other matters
Candidates must be able to litigate independently
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor Degree
At least 8 years of experience litigating in New York State Surrogate's Court
Excellent research and writing skills
Advanced drafting ability, deposition skills, and knowledge of discovery devices
Excellent motion practice skills including drafting and oral argument
Advanced negotiation/settlement skill
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Must be a self-starter and team player
Patience, compassion, confidence, and professionalism
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Tech savvy
Preferred
Trial experience is strongly preferred but not required
