Training Instructor
USAJOBS is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as a Training Instructor. The role involves administering and coordinating training programs, delivering training to large groups, and evaluating instructional methods to enhance training effectiveness.

Responsibilities
Participating in the administration and coordination of TSP training program activities, including training and briefings for agency and uniformed services offices and for FRTIB employees and contractors
Delivering on-site and remote training to groups of 20 to over 1,000 participants, while operating distance learning equipment including workstations, projectors, multimedia controls, and secure video-teleconferencing systems
Determining appropriate instructional techniques for use at conferences, fairs, lectures, on-line instruction, and job aids. Develops visual aids as necessary and/or uses existing material
Evaluating and updating training methods and materials based on current developments and participant feedback, conducting needs assessments to design or revise courses, and enhancing instructional effectiveness through improved techniques and tools
Maintaining and updating electronic records related to training sessions, including details about scheduled and completed sessions, attendance, classroom behavior, student learning outcomes, and student satisfaction

Probationary Period. One-year probationary period may be required
Selective Service. If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, you must certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System, or are exempt from having to do so under the Selective Service Law
Background Suitability Investigation. Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background investigation and the granting of a federal suitability or security clearance
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time-in-Grade Requirement, which is 52 weeks of federal service at the next lower grade, GS-07
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - education or a subject area related to the position to be filled
Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction
Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s)
Supervising or administering a training program
Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results
Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis
Applicants must have at least one year of full-time specialized work experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the next lower level (equivalent to the GS-07) in the federal government
Specialized experience is defined as: a) assisting in the development of training content and material; b) teaching classes that are related to personal finance topics, 401(k) style retirement plans or financial certifications; c) presenting orally to internal and external stakeholders; and d) facilitating administrative tasks associated with training, such as registration, surveys, evaluations and dissemination of training materials
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related
A combination of both education and experience
Specialized experience must meet 52 weeks equivalent to the next lower grade level
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
