Domestic Violence Fatality Review Project Manager

NEOGOV is seeking a Domestic Violence Fatality Review Project Manager to lead efforts in identifying and preventing deaths related to domestic violence. The role involves managing a team, coordinating community initiatives, and providing administrative support for the DVFR program.

Responsibilities

Provides administrative support for the DVFR program including overseeing, planning, and managing daily activities; coordinating and facilitating team meetings; developing minutes and written reports, monitoring program budget, maintaining program database, writing grant proposals, and completion of documentation pertaining to the program
Builds and maintains close working relationships with DVFR partners, including domestic violence and local law enforcement agencies, Coroner's Office, Prosecutor's Office, victim support service providers, shelters, healthcare agencies, physician related family services, and advocates
Prepares for monthly multi-disciplinary DVFR, which includes identifying events involving the family leading up to fatal incidents and obtaining all case specific records from respective system-wide and community agencies involved
Completes follow-up work from all monthly review team meetings, including findings and recommendations agreed upon through consensus of members, and submitting report forms in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code for domestic violence
Maintains databases to ensure safety of HIPAA related information; analyzes data pertinent to the DVFR processes; prepares and submits reports for distribution to DVFR members and grant funders; maintains all DVFR data, files of case abstraction, and team meeting review summaries
Develops and implements methods for the evaluation of strategies to assess the impact on domestic violence
Supports special projects as assigned, including support of the Community Action Team meetings, and presents on a broad array of public health topics

Required

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field
Two (2) years of experience in planning, developing, or implementing public health programs; coordinating responses and community-based health promotion initiatives
Two (2) years of experience leading and facilitating community coalitions/groups
Two (2) years of experience in project management
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
Understands and acknowledges that Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County uses evidence-based and evidence-informed public health practices based on scientific research including health promotion theory and practice, environmental health measures, and communicable disease control measures including vaccination, isolation, and quarantine practices, and medicine for treatment and prevention of disease, among others
Understands and acknowledges the use of tobacco or nicotine products in any form including replacement therapy products and prescription medications used to treat smoking addiction for anyone hired after January 1, 2014, is prohibited
Required to play an active role during a public health emergency, crisis, outbreak, incident, or event in which the Health Commissioner deems additional personnel resources are warranted. This may include changes in responsibilities and working locations/hours
Completion of Incident Command System 100 and National Incident Management System 700 courses within 90 days of hire
Valid State of Ohio driver's license and insurance on any personal vehicle that will be used for work

Preferred

Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field
Two (2) years of experience in the field of advocacy, domestic violence, sexual violence, or dating violence
