The City University of New York is seeking to fill the Larry and Eris Field Family Chair in Entrepreneurship at Baruch College. The Chairholder will lead initiatives in research and curriculum development while mentoring faculty and students in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Play a major leadership role in the continued development and growth of the department’s research, curricular, and co-curricular initiatives

Provide mentorship to junior faculty and PhD students

Contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the department

Work closely with the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship

Qualification

Doctorate in entrepreneurshipResearch publicationsTeaching experienceLeadership in initiativesMentorship abilitiesCooperative workService to institution

Required

Earned doctorate in the field of entrepreneurship, innovation, management, strategy, or related discipline

Record of research, teaching, and service accomplishments that satisfy the Department's, School's, and College's standards for tenure and appointment to the rank of either Associate Professor or Full Professor

Distinguished and sustained research record, as evidenced by an established and ongoing record of publications on innovation and/or entrepreneurship in the world's leading academic journals (e.g., UTD, FT50, AJG 4•)

Robust pipeline of research on innovation and/or entrepreneurship targeted at these same journals

Preferred

Impactful service to the institution (e.g., leadership of department-, school-, college-, or university-level initiatives), profession (e.g., editorial positions at top journals), and industry (e.g., application of research to practice)

Proven ability to effectively lead, mentor, and work cooperatively with others
