Supervisory Realty Specialist

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and direct the real property activities to include budget and schedule for assigned Civil Works and Military Installations within the New York District
Implement Department of the Army and the DOD policies regarding the acquisition and disposal of real estate
Provide staff assistance and technical expertise on matters pertaining to the management and disposal of real estate
Oversee compliance inspections, utilization reviews, GSA surveys, encroachments and trespass resolution, land title disputes, wildlife conservation, and industrial activities
Manage and administer outgrants (leases, licenses, easements, and permits) authorizing the use of real property
Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the work of subordinates
Provide advice, counsel, or instructions to employees on technical work and administrative matters

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes: Managing the acquisition, leasing, and disposal of federal real property; Leading a team assigned to execute federal real estate programs and activities; Providing technical guidance for the utilization of real property and coordinating work with local organizations, private industry and other agencies

This position is supervisory as defined by the OPM General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25 % of the time
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12)
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship
One year probationary period may be required
Direct deposit of pay is required
This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees
