Responsibilities

Visualize data and be able to create dashboards and present it well

Based on the data set, and the audience (senior management vs analysts), be able to determine the right representation from the library of charts (should not need to be told what chart would be the right representation) (sunburst vs bubble vs other representations)

Be able to put the best in class UX on top

Be able to visualize data to the Nth level of dimension beyond 2,3 dimensions

Should have experience in statistics

Should have experience in financial modeling

Know how to get it executed (would be a big plus but not a mandatory skill)
