Responsibilities

Enter new (or update existing) OTS (Off-The-Shelf), BTP (Built-To-Print), or production material components into the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) database for final review by senior Component Engineers
Provide technical support to New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Support Engineering teams upon request. Assist in the resolution or escalation of component-related issues and communicate proactively with cross-functional stakeholders
Assist in the identification of 'Form-Fit-Function' (FFF) equivalent or similar alternate manufacturing part numbers
Participate in Component Engineering team support to Engineering and Supply Chain for component end-of-life, obsolescence, and availability issues
Assist in the resolution or escalation of component issues and communicate proactively with cross-functional stakeholders
Assist in the maintenance of the company’s Industry Standards library
Provide support, under the direction of a Senior Component Engineer, for company-led strategic initiatives and team-driven continuous process improvement projects
Assist in drafting and updating procedures or guidelines, for review by Senior Component Engineers
Maintain reports, metrics, data, or other deliverables as directed

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) field. Or a suitable combination of work experience and education may be substituted for degree requirement
Typically 2+ years of direct experience in the key duties and responsibilities of the position
Familiarity with electrical engineering principles and common electronic components
Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks within a set timeframe
Demonstrated systematic problem-solving skills and an understanding of how to analyze data with metrics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups
Strong skills with Microsoft Excel (or similar software)
Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible
An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis

Preferred

Knowledge of microelectronic components and technologies, as well as with materials and manufacturing processes typically used in OEM electronics production. Awareness of industry and military standards applicable to such components
Familiarity with product life cycle management and common practices related to component obsolescence
Familiarity with third party database services such as Accuris or Silicon Experts
Familiarity with PLM software
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
Familiarity with Lean and / or Six Sigma concepts
