Responsibilities

Evaluate and select new suppliers along with Engineering, Quality and Regulatory to select strategic partners worldwide

Ownership of sustaining or creating positive relationships between Molecular Devices and its suppliers, leading to best cost, quality, delivery, and service

Support operations procurement teams to deploy global sourcing strategy and help resolve parts supply or quality issues

Required

Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field

Proven work experience as a Sourcing Engineer

Experience in lean manufacturing and awareness of lean tools desirable (e.g., 5S, Standard Work, KANBAN, Policy Deployment, Value Stream Management, Visual Management)

Good negotiator and decision maker; strong analytical skills, uses of data to drive decisions

Strong project management and leadership skills

Ability to travel – 10% - 20% domestic travel and international travel is possible (China/EU)

Preferred

ERP, PLM systems, Oracle EPM, 3DS, and Enovia
