Commercial Lines Sales Executive
Shepherd Insurance is a privately-owned insurance agency that has delivered risk management solutions since 1977. As a Commercial Lines Sales Executive, you will sell and service new and existing accounts within the Commercial Lines division, providing high-level support and customer service to clients.

Responsibilities
Provide positive, prompt, and accurate service to clients
Sell and service new and existing clientele
Market new and renewal business as needed. Evaluate premiums, prepare proposals, presentation packets and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier
Perform cross-selling and account rounding functions
Prepares, processes, reviews, and monitors various documents such as premiums, coverage of risk, policies, renewals, claims, applications, changes, endorsements, binders, contracts, etc
Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding policy coverage, claims or administrative needs
Maintain consistent communication with current and prospective clients to sell and explain coverage gaps, account rounding and solicitation of new business within market area
Develop and maintain clientele referral network
Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items
Presents proposals, quotes, and recommends coverages based on client needs and sales of appropriate coverages
Collects delinquent accounts on Agency billed policies
Attends sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up to date on the latest developments, trends, regulations in the marketplace
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least three (3) to five (5) years' experience in similar position is desirable
Required state licensing certification
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
Strong understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, forms, procedures, and policy rating systems
Familiar in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), agency & document managing system
Preferred
Professional designation is a plus
College degree is preferred, not necessary
