They are seeking a Service Engineer – Turbocharger to deliver expert technical support and maintenance for turbocharger products, ensuring operational stability across various industries.

Responsibilities

Perform Assembly and Disassembly: Execute assembly and disassembly of turbochargers and their components according to manufacturer instructions
Inspect and Diagnose: Assess turbochargers for wear and damage, accurately diagnose mechanical issues, and determine the necessary repairs
Conduct Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, reconditioning, and parts replacement to optimize turbocharger performance
Prepare Technical Reports: Write detailed technical reports on the condition of turbochargers and the maintenance or repair work performed
Ensure Quality Control: Verify that all maintenance and repairs meet established quality standards and safety regulations
Provide Customer Support: Offer technical advice and support to customers, both onsite and remotely
Mentor and Lead Teams: Lead small teams of technicians as needed, ensuring efficient collaboration and skill development
Travel Extensively: Be prepared for up to 75% travel, including domestic and occasional international trips, with flexibility to work occasional weekends

Required

Recognized electrical or mechanical certification from an accredited trade school, military training institution, or associate degree in a related field
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with turbochargers (e.g., ABB, MAN, NAPIER, MET), marine diesel engines, or similar mechanical systems
Strong technical understanding of turbocharger systems
Effective problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Ability to write detailed technical reports
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to work in various weather conditions
