Responsibilities
Create, gather, and write meaningful and engaging stories for newscasts, websites, and social media platforms
Provide news on air as directed by news management
Engage with local community members
Review material for fairness, accuracy, and balance
Work closely with all team members, including Producers, Editors, Anchors, and News Director
Qualification
Required
Have proven knowledge and experience working with current media creation tools and contemporary newsroom systems
Excel in storytelling across multiple platforms
Possess strong writing and copy-editing skills
Have 2 years' reporting experience
Be able to work well under pressure
Create, gather, and write meaningful and engaging stories for newscasts, websites, and social media platforms
Provide news on air as directed by news management
Engage with local community members
Review material for fairness, accuracy, and balance
Work closely with all team members, including Producers, Editors, Anchors, and News Director
Have sound writing skills
Have a great work ethic
Have a can-do attitude
Be able to think on their feet
Have excellent live shot skills
Thrive on breaking stories
Preferred
A bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred
