Onboard Platform - Embedded Software Engineer (Safety Compute)
Bedrock Robotics is building a fleet of autonomous construction machines and is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of their Safety computer. The role involves designing safety compute systems, creating embedded software infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities
Designing the Safety Compute with Hardware team (lock step CPU, etc.)
Create the embedded software infrastructure (OS, toolchain, build system)
Design the software architecture for the safety compute
Abide by the safety standard
Implement safety software that will be embedded (drivers, framework, etc.)
Implement efficient communication between the safety and the main computes
Qualification
Required
Familiarity with embedded CPUs (Arm CPU A or M series, R series is preferred)
Experience with Real time systems
10+ Years of experience in embedded software development
Strong programming skills (C / C++)
Preferred
Implemented Safety software for an A/V company or for the automotive industry
Experience with Rust
Experience with Arm Core R5
Experience with SafeRTOS, FreeRTOS, QNX, VxWorks
Experience with Robotics Middleware
