Responsibilities
Serve as a cultural ambassador, sharing the Hawaiian culture through hula, oli (chant), traditional crafts, and engaging presentations
Lead land and ocean-based tours to culturally and environmentally significant sites across the island of Lana‘i
Educate guests and colleagues on the island’s history, traditions, natural resources, and mo‘olelo (stories)
Facilitate cultural training programs, Hawaiian storytelling sessions, and immersive cultural activities for guests and staff
Uphold and teach Hawaiian values and customs to preserve and honor the heritage of Lana‘i
Maintain strong cultural ties to Lana‘i, demonstrating authentic knowledge and connection to the island
Exhibit excellent communication skills and professionalism in guest interactions and team collaboration

Deep cultural connection to Lana‘i and its traditions
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
Weekend and Holiday availability required
