Senior Electrical Designer
Freese and Nichols, Inc. is seeking a Sr Electrical Designer to join their growing mechanical and plumbing team on a Part-Time, On-Call basis. The role involves working with multi-discipline teams to deliver design and construction phase services to clients in the water and wastewater industry, requiring strong MEP design knowledge and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities
Serve as lead Electrical reviewer (QC) for projects such as commercial, light industrial, facilities, pump stations, and treatment plants
Perform and review design calculations, and understand Electrical design principles
Provide guidance to, and train, Electrical EITs on projects
Maintain effective communication with client and client’s staff, when necessary, with regulatory agencies and within project teams
Eagerly and proactively seek answers and assistance necessary to perform tasks and meet deadlines within budget
Occasional travel to client or project sites
Qualification
Required
15+ years' experience in Electrical Design
Ability to self-direct and work on multiple assignments at once while meeting project deliverable dates and completing other task-driven assignments
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a project team and oversee excellent quality of work
Demonstrate technical proficiency in Electrical design per industry standards (NEC, IEEE, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
