Entry LevelWorkbridge, LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator responsible for operating forklifts to manage merchandise in a warehouse. The role involves ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods while maintaining accurate inventory levels and contributing to overall warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Safely operate various types of forklifts, including counterbalance, reach, and pallet jacks, to transport goods and materials within the warehouse
Efficiently load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring that products are handled with care and placed in the correct location
Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory count sheets). Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper lifting techniques
Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to ensure optimal performance
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that aisles and pathways are clear and that materials are stored properly
Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations and resolve any issues that arise
Qualification
Required
Valid forklift operator certification or license
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and to operate forklifts safely in various conditions
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards and practices in warehouse operations
Preferred
Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment
