State of Indiana Internship - Undergrad/Graduate Level
Youth Opportunity Center is a cooperative organization that partners with local universities to offer internships in the Human Services field. The role involves working under the supervision of a Program Manager while gaining experience in various areas related to juvenile services and treatment plans.

Responsibilities
Juvenile Probation Officer
OFC Case Manager
Attending Administrative meetings
Co-Facilitating topical groups
Completing Professional Documentation
Attending Juvenile Court hearing
Resident Supervision/Interaction
Implementation of a daily treatment schedule
Implementation of the residents individual treatment plan
Regular Supervision with a frontline supervisor
Group Supervision with frontline supervisor, YOC Director of Program Services, and the University Internship Coordinator
Onsite evaluation of performance is conducted
Most interns will work as a direct care staff and may get some hours shadowing a Manager (depending on your University and area of study)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor level internships in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or Education/Teaching
Experience/exposure in Juvenile Probation Officer, OFC Case Manager, attending Administrative meetings, co-facilitating topical groups, completing Professional Documentation, attending Juvenile Court hearing, resident supervision/interaction, implementation of a daily treatment schedule, and implementation of the residents individual treatment plan
Regular Supervision with a frontline supervisor
Group Supervision with frontline supervisor, YOC Director of Program Services, and the University Internship Coordinator
Onsite evaluation of performance
