Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups
Influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives
Assist in the development of strategic plans and identify emerging issues to inform decision-making
Provide expertise on operating procedures, performance management, and workplace accommodations
Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
Lead or participate in change management activities, including planning, execution, and evaluation
Manage high-risk matters and represent the business in legal proceedings as required
Monitor legislation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Develop solutions and make recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs
Educate managers on labor relations management, policies, and employee relations training opportunities
Support strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Conduct independent analysis to resolve strategic issues and provide support for severance and reductions in force
Perform initial intake and assessment for business requests to identify issues and mitigate risks
Build effective relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment
Monitor and track program performance, addressing any issues that arise
Qualification
Required
Typically, between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience
Appropriate HR designation preferred
Bilingualism is an asset
Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
In-depth verbal & written communication skills
Strong collaboration & team skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Influence skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities
