Responsibilities

Performs month-end general ledger reconciliations to ensure accurate monthly recognition and reporting of complex accruals and associated expenses

Leads the development and release of annual standard cost update

Ensures proper level of cross training among the staff to support annual budget and reforecast activities for all non-standard accounts within COGS

Ensures compliance with GAAP by reviewing the work of support staff in area and applying GAAP to own work products

Leads the analytical process related to all non-standard variances related to COGS for monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews

Reviews reconciliations for selected groups for accuracy and consistency

Provides recommendations for process improvements to the reporting process related to COGS reporting

Supervises accounting staff
