Account Executive - Truckload Sales
Orion Solutions Group is working with a privately held transportation brokerage firm in search of a driven and entrepreneurially minded Account Executive – Truckload Sales to join our growing team in Dallas, TX. This role focuses on building a book of business from the ground up, managing client relationships, and overseeing freight execution.
Responsibilities
Prospect and close new truckload shipping customers through cold calling, networking, and industry outreach
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to onboarding and long-term account retention
Develop and maintain your own carrier relationships to ensure cost-effective, reliable service
Book freight, negotiate rates, and monitor shipments through delivery
Maintain regular communication with both customers and carriers to ensure service expectations are met
Identify opportunities to expand wallet share within existing accounts
Track activity and performance using internal systems and CRM tools
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of experience in a truckload brokerage or transportation sales role
Proven success in developing new business and managing the full sales cycle
Strong understanding of FTL (Full Truckload) brokerage operations and carrier management
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment
