Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle database schemas and structures

Implement and manage database security protocols in compliance with Security+ standards

Perform thorough database analysis to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize queries

Utilize SQL Developer for database scripting, automation, and performance tuning

Manage database changes using GitLab/GitHub for version control and collaboration

Track and manage database-related tasks and projects in Jira

Conduct regular database health checks and troubleshooting to ensure system stability

Maintain comprehensive database documentation

Develop and maintain database migration plans

Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems

Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions seamlessly

Perform database backups, recoveries, and disaster recovery planning

Stay current with Oracle database updates, patches, and new features

Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

Contribute to the development of database standards, guidelines, and best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Developer

Proven experience with SAFe Agile methodology

Proficiency in SQL Developer for database scripting and management

Experience with Jira for task and project management

Strong understanding of GitLab for version control and collaboration

Security+ certification or equivalent

In-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning

Experience with database security practices and compliance

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Certification in Oracle Database Administration (OCP) or equivalent

Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS)

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools

Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
