NEOGOV is offering an internship opportunity within the Charleston County Resilience and Sustainability Division for undergraduate or graduate students. The intern will gain experience in Climate Action Plans, Hazard Vulnerability Assessments, and project management while completing a capstone project and coordinating community events.

Responsibilities

Attend meetings for current projects happening internally or externally with different municipalities or organizations

Assist in annual reporting and data collection

Attend Resilience and Sustainability Advisory Committee as needed

Research different resilience and sustainability projects in jurisdictions similar to Charleston County

Create or attend community events on behalf of the Resilience and Sustainability Division

Gain experience in the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) and receive FEMA training in the Incident Command System (ICS)

Present on their capstone project accomplished during the Internship to the Resilience and Sustainability Team
