Afterschool Program Assistant Directors and Directors - THRIVE
NEOGOV is seeking Afterschool Program Assistant Directors and Directors for the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District's THRIVE program. This role involves developing and implementing educational activities for children, while also providing leadership and supervision to staff in a supportive and engaging environment.

Responsibilities
The development and implementation of assigned learning curriculum, recreation programs, classes or activities
Working independently, within established guidelines, to develop, coordinate, supervise and instruct the day-to-day activities of assigned program area and provide lead direction to assigned part-time staff
Coordinating, instructing, supervising and leading learning and enrichment activities for assigned program area
Providing a program/class atmosphere that promotes and encourages inclusion and satisfaction of all participants
Ensure the safety of program participants and if necessary, provide basic first aid
Qualification
Required
Current First Aid and CPR certification OR the ability to obtain upon hire
Experience working in an after school, out-of-school, learning support or equivalent position
Willingness to work at various locations as needed
Availability to work flexibly Monday–Friday, between 12:30 pm–6:00 pm on school days and 7:30 am–6:00 pm on no-school days, from August 26, 2025, through June 11, 2026
Comfortable being trained to be a van driver if 18 years or older
Willingness and ability to complete specific DHS training, central background registry clearance, and fingerprinting upon hire
Experience working with or volunteering with children
Experience in a leadership position and in developing curriculum, scheduling staff, and budgeting
