Licensed Child & Adolescent Mental Health Therapists (Full-time, California)

Handspring is dedicated to rebuilding the pediatric behavioral health system and is hiring California-licensed mental health therapists. The role involves providing psychotherapy to children and young adults, participating in team consultations, and completing clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

Work 40 hours a week, including:
28 hours dedicated to therapy sessions. Typically, we expect therapists to conduct an average of 22-24 sessions per week. You will be assigned a caseload of up to 28 clients
12 hours dedicated to administrative tasks
Provide weekly psychotherapy using CBT and other evidence-based practices to children ages 8-17 and young adults over age 18 years
Participate in weekly 1-on-1 case consultations, weekly team consultations, peer-only huddles, and ongoing professional development programming. These programs offer opportunities for you to engage and collaborate with other therapists
Complete clinical notes and documentations in a timely manner
Communicate with your client’s pediatricians, school counselors, and other members of their family, as needed

Required

Licensed mental health professionals with at least 3 years post-graduate experience providing psychotherapy
Active unrestricted license in California
Required license types: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
Must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PT)
Ability to work independently with a strong interest in collaboration and learning
Clinical experience working with young people and their families
Knowledge of and/or some training in evidence based mental health treatments
Comfort with using and learning new technologies, including Zoom, Office, electronic health record systems, and other team collaboration tools
Must not have opted out of Medicare
