Lead Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead during the sales cycle, including architecture reviews, security evaluations, and solution scoping
Guide customers through implementation planning and integration of Knot’s SDKs and APIs
Conduct hands-on proof-of-concept (POC) exercises with high-priority accounts
Review and advise on mobile and web integrations across iOS, Android, and React Native environments
Partner with Product and Engineering to share customer insights and shape roadmap priorities
Improve implementation workflows by identifying gaps and proposing scalable internal tools or documentation
Own technical documentation for onboarding, integration guides, and support resources
Monitor active integrations and raise issues proactively with the right stakeholders

Required

Significant experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect
Experience across both pre-sales discovery and post-sales implementation
Strong grasp of SDKs, REST APIs, webhooks, authentication protocols, and modern developer workflows
Background working with fintechs, banks, or fast-moving B2B infrastructure platforms
Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
Ownership mindset and a comfort with ambiguity in early-stage environments
Experience collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams

Preferred

You've shaped the strategy and direction of solution engineering in your previous role. Perhaps you have been the first hire into the function, or you have led the team
You have worked on very technical integrations and have been the main point of contact throughout onboarding. You are able to triage and solve the majority of technical challenges that arise throughout this phase
You are confident working with customer technical and business leadership throughout the sales cycle
