PUCT, Power Markets Analyst (Economist II - IV)
The Public Utility Commission of Texas is dedicated to regulating the state’s electric, telecommunication, and water and sewer utilities. They are seeking a Power Markets Analyst to perform complex analysis of policy and economic issues related to electric markets, ensuring compliance and supporting decision-making processes.

Responsibilities
Participating in and leading projects, rulemakings, legislative analysis, and related policy-development activities
Tracking, monitoring and reviewing annual and semiannual reports, letters of credits filed by the REPs to ensure financial compliance with the Commission rules
Ensuring compliance within the electric, telecommunications, and water and sewer utilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in economics, statistics, energy resource economics, business administration, engineering, or public policy for Economist II
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in economics, statistics, energy resource economics, business administration, engineering, or public policy and two (2) years of full-time professional experience in a position involving economic or statistical analysis, regulatory analysis, data analysis, policy analysis, operations research, analyzing US energy markets with a particular focus on electric power, or energy business development and operations for Economist III
Or a Master's degree with major coursework in economics, statistics, energy resource economics, business administration, engineering, or public policy and one (1) year of full-time professional experience in a position involving economic or statistical analysis, regulatory analysis, data analysis, policy analysis, operations research, analyzing US energy markets with a particular focus on electric power, or energy business operations for Economist III
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in economics, statistics, energy resource economics, business administration, engineering, or public policy and four (4) years of full-time professional experience in a position involving economic or statistical analysis, regulatory analysis, data analysis, policy analysis, operations research, analyzing US energy markets with a particular focus on electric power, or energy business development and operations for Economist IV
