Responsibilities
Ensure human performance is optimized to increase total system performance and minimize total system ownership costs
Maximize overall human-machine performance through understanding of the human element, offering a total system approach to help clients meet the demands of the evolving workplace
The total system includes not just the prime mission equipment, but also the people who operate, maintain, and support the system, the training and training devices, and the operational and support infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Mid-Level: 4+ years of relevant experience
Junior Level: 1+ years of relevant experience
Relevant Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs
BS Degree from ABET recognized engineering curriculum OR BS Degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that includes 24 semester hours in physical science and/ or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics
Ability to analyze designs through review of design artifacts
Ability to perform quantitative analyses
Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team consisting of systems engineers, electrical and electronics engineers, acquisition professionals, and logistics and sustainment professionals to achieve program outcomes
Interim or Active Secret clearance
Preferred
Mid-Level: 7+ years years of relevant experience
Junior Level: 4+ years of relevant experience
Relevant Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems
Possession of excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
Master's degree in an Engineering field
