Computed Tomography Technologist Trainee - Great Neck
NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is a university-affiliated medical center committed to medical education and research. The Computed Tomography Technologist Trainee will observe and assist a CT technologist in performing CT procedures under supervision, while demonstrating knowledge of relevant systems and protocols.

Responsibilities
Demonstrates knowledge of the HIS and RIS systems as they relate to radiology
Under direct supervision of a CT technologist, demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure
Under direct supervision of a CT technologist, assists in patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards
Effectively assesses patient’s information and status, and works directly with a CT technologist to follow appropriate procedures accordingly
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
Currently enrolled and participating in a certificate program from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or a recent graduate of a radiology program from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology (up to one year post graduation)
Radiologic TechLic IV-Cert-NYS
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
