Responsibilities

The Special Procedures Tech I assists physicians with arteriograms and or other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique in diagnosis and treatment of patients
In doing so, prepares examination area, positions patients for procedures and operates complex radiology equipment in accordance with established techniques and routines
Assists physicians as necessary by passing materials, taking exposures as directed and more
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served

IEMA licensure RadiologyARRT registeredBLS - American Heart AssociationAssociates degreePrevious patient care experienceInterpersonal skillsCommunication skills

Completion of 2 years training at an approved school of radiologic technology
