Vice President, Global Investment Banking
RBC is a leading global financial institution, and they are seeking a Vice President for their Global Investment Banking division. This role involves leading execution and origination for M&A mandates, overseeing complex financial modeling, and managing a team of analysts and associates.

Responsibilities
Lead junior elements of the execution and origination for mergers and acquisition mandates
Support and overlook the creation of complex financial models which support the analysis of transactions in key sectors
Responsible for the development and oversight of complex models including discounted cash flows, leveraged buyouts, mergers, divestitures, joint ventures, public and private capital transactions, ability-to-pay, and other detailed analyses
Detailed knowledge of power, utilities, and infrastructure sectors
Understanding both market and technical modeling nuances of the sector
Detailed understanding of accounting principals
Manage the associates and analysts in the deal team and responsible for their training and development
Lead due diligence and weekly calls with several counter parties
Detailed understanding of tax structuring for various transaction structures
Lead discussions on valuation and corporate finance subject matters
Qualification
Required
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field and 4 years of related work experience
Must have 4 years of experience in term sheet review, analysis, and drafting
Must have 4 years of experience in due diligence coordination & facilitation
Must have 3 years of experience in engagement letter drafting
Must have 3 years of experience in investment memoranda review, analysis, and drafting
Must have 3 years of experience in Virtual Data Rooms proficiency (Datasite, Intralinks, DFIN, Firmex)
Must have 2 years of experience in investment banking covering Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Must have 2 years of experience in financial models (mergers, DCF, LBO, ability-to-pay, weighted average cost of capital, or accretion & dilution analysis)
Must have 2 years of experience in financial accounting and tax
Must have 2 years of experience in M&A project management
Must have 2 years of experience in bid letter review, analysis, and drafting
Must have 1 year of experience in leading a team of Investment Banking Analysts and Associates
Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days, certifications in Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63
Domestic travel required up to 10%
International travel required up to 5%
