Responsibilities

Prioritize engineering tasks and team deliverables to ensure quality, safety and customer satisfaction while adhering to schedule and budget

Participate in client meetings and job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data

Perform necessary calculations and review the preliminary design of facilities and equipment for generation collection, substation, and transmission related facilities including physical arrangements

Lead, direct and mentor less experienced team members

Support the development of detailed contracts, manage scopes of work, oversee change orders, and assist with project closeouts

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams

Leverage existing industry relationships to help grow the firm’s renewable energy client base

Qualification

Electrical Engineering degreeProfessional Engineer (PE) registrationSubstation design experienceElectrical design software proficiencyProblem-solving skillsCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum of 12 years of experience in distribution, substation, and/or transmission line engineering, with a strong emphasis on substation design

Proficiency in electrical design and analysis software

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) registration is strongly preferred

Prior consulting experience is preferred
