SIMCO, LLC is the managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) and is seeking a Project Manager - Maintenance Subcontracts. The successful candidate will oversee maintenance projects and service contracts, ensuring compliance and safety in construction activities on the WIPP site.

Responsibilities

Manage SIMCO Maintenance Projects
Manage various service contracts as assigned
Attend contractor briefings/planning meetings
Review, request, and route contractor submittals for approval
Coordinate contractor support requirements between SIMCO departments
Assist in scheduling work through the T-0, T-1 and POD
Acquire the PSTR qualification and pass an oral board within 12 months of assuming the job

Required

Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of experience managing/supervising construction projects, service contracts, and/or maintenance/repair activities, or
Associate's degree with six (6) years of experience managing/supervising construction projects, service contracts, and/or maintenance/repair activities, or
High school diploma or Equivalency with ten (10) year of experience managing/supervising construction projects, service contracts, and or maintenance/repair activities
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances
Must have strong communication skills, proven ability to form and lead teams of diverse technical backgrounds to conduct assessments and clearly document results
Must have clear understanding of safety requirements that pertain to maintenance activities
Must be a self-starter and motivated to execute assigned work activities
The selected candidate will acquire the PSTR qualification and pass an oral board within 12 months of assuming the job

Preferred

Ten (10) years in a construction, maintenance, or project management field
Previous experience working at a nuclear and/or DOE facility
OSHA 30, Applicable Safety Certificates and/or other industry specific training
Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus
