Responsibilities

This is a full-stack infrastructure engineering role, focused on building and operating platform services such as messaging systems, API gateways, data platforms, and serverless runtimes
Develop APIs, automation, and developer-facing tooling to improve platform usability and integration
Build and maintain observability, monitoring, and alerting systems for platform services
Collaborate with internal application teams to ensure platform reliability, performance, and ease of use
Help design and run systems that scale across data centers, edge devices, and cloud environments

Required

Experience with developing and operating PaaS technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, API gateways, SQL/NoSQL/Graph databases, caching systems, and serverless platforms
Proficiency in Go and Python
Experience with container-based development and Kubernetes operator pattern
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices
Interest in open-source platform and infrastructure technologies
Familiarity with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
Experience with secure coding practices and platform security principles
Familiarity with secrets management and identity and access control
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders
Experience participating in design reviews, incident retrospectives, or RFC processes
Demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts and to adapt to new technologies quickly
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Up to 5 years of experience and/or strong relevant open source/personal projects (Junior Level)
Curiosity and drive to learn deeply about platform engineering and distributed systems (Junior Level)
5 to 10 years of experience in platform or infrastructure engineering roles (Mid Level)
Proven ability to independently deliver features and improvements (Mid Level)
Demonstrated experience collaborating across teams and mentoring junior engineers (Mid Level)
Familiarity with designing scalable systems and contributing to architectural decisions (Mid Level)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience
Engineering experience with a public PaaS or cloud provider (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, Azure Functions, etc.)
Experience developing and operating PaaS systems in Production such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Neo4j, or API gateways
Experience with serverless runtimes and event-driven architectures
Familiarity with developer tooling as a builder and/or user
Interest in sustainable infrastructure and cost/resource awareness
Experience with single-pane-of-glass management platforms or control planes for distributed systems
Familiarity with frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js, Spring Boot
