Structural Engineer

Responsibilities
Lead structural engineering projects in the design of concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite construction to deliver structural solutions for projects both large and small. This role will require the preparation of specifications and drawings on projects as it relates to structural engineering
Design and analyze structures such as treatment plant buildings, tanks, clarifiers and other facilities that are a part of the water and wastewater treatment process in high seismic regions. Projects may also include existing structure evaluation
Design and analysis of pump stations including the buildings that house pumps, piping systems and support structures
Lead structural engineering efforts related to engineering services during construction as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Work includes on-site structural observation
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide solutions to clients throughout the United States including and supporting municipal agencies and industrial facilities
Use BIM tools to deliver many of these projects, and to provide clients with interactive environments to provide meaningful input on projects from the initial planning stages, through design and construction
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering focus
Minimum 6+ years of experience as a consulting engineer focused on structural design
Experience working on structural engineering projects from conception to completion
Deep understanding of structural design principles, codes and standards
Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling
Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) required in the state of Oregon
Preferred
Experience with RISA 3D, Enercalc, RAM Elements, RAM Structural Systems, and STAAD
Experience with Revit
