Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and documentation of airfield projects using Civil 3D, assisting in the creation of construction plans, specs, and technical documents that meet FAA and client standards
Help manage budgets, schedules, and contract documents, supporting experienced engineers in the delivery of successful aviation projects
Work side by side with engineers, technicians, and clients, supporting both day-to-day tasks and long-term project goals
Support and guide junior team members while continuing your own professional development in all aspects of aviation civil engineering
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
PE license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Excel
Strong communicator-clear, prompt, and polished in both written and verbal interactions
Organized and detail-oriented, with a drive to hit deadlines and deliver high-quality work
Positive attitude and collaborative spirit-you enjoy being part of a fast-moving, technical team
Comfortable traveling across New Mexico for site visits and client meetings
Open to feedback, eager to grow, and curious about new engineering technologies
Customer-focused and entrepreneurial in your approach to problem-solving
Preferred
5-10 years of experience in civil engineering-aviation or government project background preferred
Design experience in runway/taxiway layout, airport planning, drainage, or airfield lighting is a plus
Familiarity with FAA standards and software like FAARFIELD is a bonus
